Vegan B&B near Farm Sanctuary, New York

We're a vegan oasis, nestled on 15 acres a few miles northwest of Watkins Glen, NY and 10 minutes from Farm Sanctuary. The Ginger Cat B&B is the perfect place to stay during your vacation in the Finger Lakes. We are safe (staff has been fully vaccinated), secure, family and pet-friendly.

Our philosophy is simple: Treat our guests as friends. Provide clean and comfortable accommodations, serve great food and be as helpful as possible.

House rules

This is a B&B in a private residence. A 2 night weekend stay is required May - November (but we sometimes can make exceptions) and during Farm Sanctuary event/holiday/race weekends.

Check in: 3-6 p.m. (or by other arrangement)
Check out: 11 a.m.

The space

We don't have an 1800s farmhouse or lots of antiques, but we do have peace and quiet and did we mention really tasty vegan food?

Enjoy your breakfast on the 4-season porch, watch the magnificent sunsets and stargaze (the Milky Way is directly overhead!) from the large deck or take a walk through the woods that surround the house and gardens.
Despite our rural surroundings, we are less than 15 minutes to Farm Sanctuary and Watkins Glen State Park and 5 minutes to the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Corning and Ithaca are within 45 minutes.

We do not allow the cats into the guest quarters to reduce the chance of allergic reactions.

Things to know

We are only accepting reservations from people who can show proof of Covid vaccination or a negative Covid test. We are doing this for the safety of our staff and our guests.

We are continuing to only book out one of our rooms (because of Covid) so you will not have to worry about sharing the bathroom. That means you'll have the entire B&B to yourself! No need to worry about social distancing.

If, however, your family does need both rooms, just give us a call and we can make the other room available to you.

Neighborhood

There's lots of things to do in the Finger Lakes year round. Farm Sanctuary is 10 minutes from us and has tours May-October. Hike beautiful Watkins Glen State Park and marvel at the 19 waterfalls that flow through the gorge.

Visit the local wineries, breweries and distillaries. Almost all of the restaurants offer vegan options.
