Pousada Vegethus Casinha Amarela is a special place where we host very few people in a relatively large area, in an exotic, very exclusive location.

Our place is located on a small quiet island, just a few meters of water crossing from Boipeba Village, in a wonderful area where an Atlantic Rainforest blooms and mangroves rule, directly on the edge of a large branch of mangrove that streams from the ocean just a few meters away. A perfect place for swimming, kayaking or stand-up paddling. You may also take a canoe or boat tour on the mangrove departing right from your bangaloo's doorstep. Other favorite activities include: walking along the trails on our small island, and watching the stunning sunset behind the mangrove from our exclusive pier or in one of our hammocks which are scattered across 4,000 square meters of tropical garden where our 7 wooden lodges are distributed among 46 dendê palm trees and other native trees and plants – yes, to offer you maximum privacy and comfort we have only 7 lodges for rental across our half acre area.

Casinha Amarela is a space that respects all human diversity, including color and gender, and to maintain a safe environment which offers respect to all, we expect our guests to have a respectful behavior towards the humans with whom they will share this piece of Paradise for a few days. If you believe this is not your case, we recommend finding lodging elsewhere.

The space

The wooden lodges are very spacious and equipped with a queen size bed, mosquito net, bathroom with hot shower, turbo fan, minibar, a multilingual library (one inside each lodge) and wi-fi.

Things to know

Vegan meals are served privately for each lodge, either on the terraces or kiosks equipped with hammocks which are distributed throughout the area. This is where you start your day with our included delicious VEGAN breakfast, embodying all the creativity that comes from the fusion of the vegan and Bahia culinary style, where international, vegan, and Bahian cuisine meet with an extra tropical touch! Yummy!

In addition to breakfast, we also serve snacks, sandwiches and drinks throughout the day and night. Our dishes are developed by our local culinary experts alongside with our vegan dietitian, and they are all free of cholesterol, lactose, very low in fat and are designed to be highly nutritious. All the while gaining more flavor! We challenge you to be amazed by the flavors and variety of this rich, diverse and healthy cuisine, even more flavorful when in fusion with the flavors that only Bahia and its regional ingredients have to offer.

Our Pousada has its own exclusive mangrove beach, at a spot where virtually nobody walks by other than our own guests. The mangrove environment and our beach are salty, clean water which is flooded twice daily following the ocean’s tides.

You may hire tours directly with us upon check-in or anytime later, thus enriching your stay and exploration. Our team can also give you directions and advice about Boipeba, regarding transportation or hiking to nearby or distant beaches, diving, kayaking or canoeing on the mangrove, packed with information on our local ecology and ecosystem. We can also direct you to restaurants and other points of interest.

We also offer per hire, upon availability of instructors and therapists: therapeutic massage, yoga, pilates, capoeira classes...

We do not sell tours that involve fishing or other activities that harm or threaten animal life. On our pier and at the beach inside the property it is forbidden to fish or injure any animal such as crabs, oysters and everything else that inhabits our area.

Allow yourself an experience surrounded by life, immersed in a natural environment in which you can relax and recharge your batteries while doing no harm to the beings with whom we share this planet. We will be happy to welcome you for this regeneration of the body, with healthy eating, and the mind, in tune and in exchange with the surrounding environment!

All the garbage produced by the Pousada is recycled through a private initiative that sends the waste to the continent, further reducing our impact in this region that breathes, expires and inspires environmental preservation.

Neighborhood

The Village of Boipeba offers markets, pharmacies, a health/first care center, shops, tour agencies and several restaurants. Crossing to the other side where the village is takes only 2 minutes by boat and 2 more minutes walking. From that point you can also access oceanic beaches. The motorized water crossing is offered as a courtesy to our guests from 7am to 10pm. If you wish to cross back from Village of Boipeba or from the beaches later than that, you may book the crossingus for a small fee.
