Beneath The Wood Sanctuary: Bah! Come and enjoy a Sheepover!
The Beneath The Wood Sanctuary Camping pod is situated in our main Sheep field. Where you can enjoy stunning views over the Teifi Valley and the Cambrian mountains beyond whilst watching over some of our sheepy friends. Neighbouring the pod you'll also have some of our pig residents to keep you entertained with their piggy antics!
You can join us in helping to feed and care for some of the animals or simply enjoy a tour of the sanctuary and the relaxation.
House rules
Our sheep are in the same field as the pod. So please make sure all gates are closed behind you and food items are kept away.
Please do not feed any of the residents or enter any animal enclosures without authorisation and supervision.
The pod is not suitable for children under 12 and no dogs are allowed. Maximum 2 adults one child. Children must be supervised at all times.
For the safety of our residents, no parties, fires or out of control behaviour.
The pod has steep steps and the sanctuary is on a hill. You cannot park next to the pod. So you will need to carry your things up some steps and accross the field.
Smoking is not allowed inside the pod. If you smoke outside please do not throw your cigarette ends on the ground. Please thoroughly extinguish them and throw them away in the bin.
The space
The Sheepover Camping pod is fitted with one double bed, supplied with bedding and one single pullout camping bed.
You'll have your own private outdoor vegan only, fully equiped camping kitchen and dining area.
A perfect loo with a view compost toilet and shower facilities.
There is no electric in the pod but there is at the camping kitchen.
Things to know
Our Sanctuary is only thirty minute drive from the West Wales coast or just a short drive to reach the vast and breathtaking Cambrian mountains.
The area is very rural and there is very limited public transport. We are situated between the small villages of Tregaron and Lampeter.
There are plenty of places to walk and enjoy the scenery and nature. We are also very lucky to have a large heronry in the tall trees above the sanctuary.
Neighborhood
Just a 7 mile drive from the Sanctuary is the small tawn of Lampeter. There are various cafe's in Lampeter that offer Vegan food and also a couple of supermarkets for picking up supplies. You'll need to drive as there is very little public transport, the nearest rail link in 25 miles away in Aberystwyth. The Sanctuary itself is surrounded by fields and woodland.
