The space

The space
York Poetree house is a 2 floor tiny house nestled amongst lilac and sycamore .Cosy and warm with underfloor heating under Mexican handmade tiles .Downstairs you have a thick pine workspace,with free wi fi . A back door opens straight onto a beautiful wild meadow and wildlife walk The small kitchen houses a fridge, induction hob, toaster and sink, with a kettle for your hot water. Complimentary fresh breakfast and coffee for all guests and a complimentary personal care pack (shampoo, body wash, lotion, etc) for those staying 3 days or more.
Upstairs via a wooden ladder you will find the quiet bedspace, with extra blankets if you need, where you can open the windows directly into the trees,and observe passing squirrels,pigeons or sometimes an owl. Close the hatch, draw the bedcurtain and dream.
Guest access
A few steps away is the main house which houses a bathroom and shower for your own exclusive use during your stay. You also are welcome to sit anywhere you like in our garden.

Things to know

Your hosts are Fynn and Wendy. Fynn is a poet and Wendy is a painter, chef,and therapist. We have an extensive library to borrow from, and are on hand to discuss any culinary needs to help you make the most of your stay; your ample breakfast larder will be vegetarian or vegan and can be tailored to your preferences and needs.

We would also like to mention some things that we do regarding sustainability and ethical practice.
We have separate bins for compost and separate other wastes. We only supply organic milk, or non dairy milk, and we check that any snacks contain no or sustainable palm oil, and no nasties. We use eco friendly cleaners, and duvet and pillow from Vegan Hog; a recycled bottle duvet. Nearly all the items in the treehouse are preloved.
